This pair of imitation amber flower vases is currently sold out. Handmade in Nepal in a Tibetan style, each vase was decorated with turquoise, coral and lapis lazuli and stood 21cm tall.
Imitation amber is a resin made to look like real amber, so the vases are light and easy to handle. Vases like these are traditionally used to hold flowers and offerings on Himalayan altars, and they make a colourful display piece.
Each vase measured 16cm wide and 18cm deep inside, a good size for a mantelpiece or console table. Because the set stones are hand-set, the pair looked closely matched but not identical.
