This eagle brooch adds a third colour to the classic Nepali combination of silver, turquoise and coral: deep blue lapis lazuli. Handmade in the ancient city of Lalitpur, the flying eagle spreads its wings 15cm wide, inlaid with natural stones along its feathers.

About the craftsmanship
Lalitpur’s metalworkers shape, chase and inlay each brooch by hand, so the placement of stones and the detail of the feathers are unique to this piece. The listing offers a single example, which makes it a true one-off.
Turquoise, coral and lapis together give the eagle a vivid blue, red and navy palette against bright silver.
Wearing it
