About labradorite
Labradorite is a feldspar mineral known for labradorescence, the optical effect behind its flashes of colour. Light reflects off thin layers inside the stone, so the colours appear only at certain angles and vary from piece to piece.
In crystal traditions labradorite is associated with intuition, protection and imagination. These are traditional beliefs rather than proven effects.
Wearing it
The adjustable cord lets you wear it close to the neck or further down the chest, and the slim point suits men and women alike. It looks especially striking against dark clothing, which makes the flashes stand out.
It is an easy gift for someone who loves unusual stones, as no two points look exactly the same. The point shape also draws the eye downwards, which flatters open collars and V-necks. Many people enjoy turning it in different lights to find the strongest flash of colour.
Care
Labradorite can scratch, so store it away from harder jewellery. Keep the cord dry, avoid perfume on the stone, and wipe it with a soft cloth.
