About this formation
Quartz clusters form when many crystals grow from a shared base. In this piece they have grown in a radiating pattern, which is less common than a single direction of growth and gives the cluster its floral look.
In crystal traditions clear quartz is linked with clarity and the crown chakra, and clusters are often placed in rooms as natural centrepieces. These ideas come from belief rather than evidence.
Where to display it
Its rounded shape looks lovely from above, so try it on a coffee table, a low shelf or a meditation corner. It is also a memorable gift for a collector. Our guide to the top 10 raw crystals in the UAE has ideas for building a display.
Under a spotlight, the points throw small reflections that change as you walk past.
Care
Dust between the points with a soft brush, lift the cluster by its base, and avoid harsh chemicals or knocks that could chip the tips.
