About the engraving
Script engravings on Himalayan bowls often carry mantras or auspicious phrases. Because each bowl is engraved by hand, the spacing and depth of the letters vary, and no two are identical.
The bowl is used to open meditation and prayer, and many people enjoy simply listening to its long fade. It is not a medical device.
Playing it
Its tall, narrow shape helps the sound carry. Hold it on your palm, tap the outer wall and then circle the rim. Read our singing bowl buying guide to compare shapes.
Care
Brush dust from the engraved lines with a soft, dry brush, and avoid metal polish.
