Wide and shallow
At 13cm across but only 5cm deep, this bowl spreads its sound over a wide rim, which gives a bright, open tone that fills a room. Every bowl is hand-hammered, so its weight and voice are unique within the range above.
People use bowls like this in meditation and yoga to rest their attention on the sound. They support mindful practice rather than treat any condition.
How to play
Place it on a cushion or flat palm, tap the outer wall, then circle the rim slowly. Wide bowls need even pressure all the way round. Our beginner’s singing bowl guide explains each step.
Pair it with our golden Dharmachakra bowl to hear how finish and shape change the sound. Its natural brass tone suits wooden furniture and earthy interiors. Over time it develops a deeper patina that many players find attractive.
Care
Wipe it with a dry cloth and let brass develop its natural patina, or polish lightly if you prefer shine.
